Luc Bergeron

Drawings, sculptures and paintings

An exhibition by Luc Bergeron of elements in two or three dimensions where simple, organic and non-figurative forms meet in a constant search for purification.

For the past four years, Luc Bergeron has been developing large-scale projects combining painting, sculpture and drawing. The emphasis of these installation projects was on the work as a whole, with the artist questioning the relationship between these three media in space. Now, the artist works more independently with the various media, and her vision of space has shifted. Without denying the relationships of form, his sculptures, paintings and drawings acquire a great deal of autonomy between them.

White, gray, black, brown and natural tones are the colors used by Luc Bergeron in favor of bright hues to focus attention on form. His paintings and drawings contain airy spaces alongside full, organic masses. His sculptures present a different reading of the same iconographic motif found in his drawings. An exhibition of two- and three-dimensional elements, where simple, organic and non-figurative forms meet in a constant search for purity.
