DARE-DARE invites you to participate in its educational program with the Secret Agents and Art Infiltration Workshop hosted by the duo Massecar • d'Orion at the DARE-DARE mobile trailer, at the corner of the avenue Atwater and Greene Street.

Saturday, October 15, 2017, from 10 am to 4 pm with a picnic break between 1 pm and 2 pm
For adults and families (12 years old and over). Free workshop.
Maximum 12 participants

Discover the creation of infiltration and maneuvering carried out by the duo Massecar • d'Orion: in the summer of 2015, the artists installed a surveillance van behind the DARE-DARE trailer and lived there 24 hours a day like clandestine agents posted in the southwest district of Montreal. Their mission was to disseminate excerpts from the book Fragments d’un discours amoureux by Roland Barthes.

During this workshop, the participants will first discover the clandestine actions collection diary of the artists, the various tools of infiltration and the maneuvers accomplished between July 20 and July 31, 2015. Each person will then be brought to develop their own infiltration and test this proposal in the public space.

In collaboration with the Sud-Ouest borough.

Since the summer of 2015, the interdisciplinary duo Massecar • d'Orion has been producing works that combine approaches in sound creation, practices in a real context and clandestine dramaturgy.

Catherine Lalonde Massecar has been working in the interdisciplinary arts field for fifteen years as an artist-researcher, curator and speaker. She is particularly interested in intimate relationships between the work and the viewer, as well as in relation possibilities. Her action art projects have taken the form of nano-performances, in situ displacements and interactive installations. She has worked with the collective Farine orpheline cherche ailleurs meilleur before funding the Péristyle Nomade in 2006. Since then, she is the artistic director of this organization dedicated to research and creation in new artistic practices in the public space. She holds a master's degree from the Université du Québec à Montréal, whose subject is artistic infiltration and the fragmentation of dramaturgy in urban territory (2011).
