Guillaume Dufour Morin
Guillaume Dufour Morin (Trois-Rivières, Canada) is a visual artist. His practice in contemporary art, at the intersection of action art and conceptual literary creation, consists mainly of performances and is materialized through multiple media: installation, video, photo, text, artist's book, sound, and digital printing. His works have been presented in festivals, artist residencies, group exhibitions, and collective screenings, in Québec and internationally (United States, Latin America, Europe, and India on multiple occasions). Through relational, contextual, and interdisciplinary processes, Guillaume Dufour Morin's approach focuses on the social legacies of the imaginaries of purity and their reinterpretation. It integrates local heritages reinterpreted through maneuvered and infiltrating detours. Engaged and parodic, it gives place to a multiplication of collaborative structures valuing the citizen participation and the in-situ integration of the work and interventions in the social fabric. The artist is CEO of Legal Human Trafficking Goods And Services TM, founder of the Cathédrale de demain, and an erector of a roadside cross.
