Samuel Lebel Gagnon

Samuel Lebel Gagnon is a multidisciplinary artist from Kamouraska, based in Tio'tia:ke, Mooniyang, Montreal, and a graduate of UQÀM's B.A. in Visual and Media Arts. Involved in the artistic milieu, Samuel has been a mediator for several years in various cultural institutions. He has also worked as a studio assistant in the ceramics laboratory of the Université du Québec à Montréal. Presented at Fais-moi l'art, Gham & Dafe and at Place des Arts, his work leads him to question the social and conceptual construction of rural spaces and so-called vacation spots through their formal deconstruction.

A member of DARE-DARE since 2023, he became interested in DARE-DARE's mission through multiple encounters in the Montreal community and then began to attend the events organized by the center. Samuel is interested in the different ways of transmitting intergenerational knowledge, in the conservation of tangible and intangible heritage as well as in inclusive cultural mediation.
