Through very simple mechanisms, Peter Conlin (Vancouver) draws us into a poetic relationship with images by highlighting their fragility and ephemeral nature.

It is an investigation around the movements of the camera and the monitor. More precisely, a device where the movement of the monitor cancels the movement made by the camera at the time of the shooting.

With the project, DARE-DARE presents the work of three artists who are not yet well known to the public: Peter Conlin, Chloé Lefebvre and Philippe Tessier.

In the two series of works in this exhibition, the technology used to make the images was both exposed as a process and summoned as a visual metaphor for the artist's relationship with his social and physical environment.

A set of works where performance, video, photography and a set of artifacts arranged in the form of an installation are brought together.

Projected on a transparent screen, a large color image of the artist lying with a bouquet of flowers moves under the breath of a fan sending colored reflections on one of the walls.

Filmmakers have always made films about the lives and works of artists. We had the idea of reversing the roles: why not ask artists to create a work based on a film?
