Books from the DARE-DARE library are available for on-site consultation at La HALTE (parc Sainte-Cunégonde) during the summer.

Our collection is organized into fourteen major categories, reflecting the diversity of research, thought, and creative practices represented on our shelves. Many titles could easily belong to multiple categories, as their content often sits at the intersection of various disciplines, ideas, or artistic forms. To maintain the coherence of the catalogue and facilitate consultation, each book has been placed in the category that most accurately conveys the essence of its content.

Art + Community : Books focusing on participatory art practices, collective engagement, and co-creative processes that weave meaningful connections between art and community life.

Art + Experimental Pedagogies : Publications investigating critical and experimental approaches to learning through art: collaborative learning, informal education, and experience-based pedagogies.

Art + Nature : Essays and publications examining the relationships between art, ecology, and the environment through practices attuned to landscapes, living beings, and natural balance.

Art + Public Space : Publications exploring artistic practices that inhabit the city, transform everyday life, and question the role of the spectator within urban and social contexts.

Artists + Exhibitions : Catalogues, monographs, and exhibition compilations highlighting artists, their trajectories, and the curatorial contexts shaping contemporary art presentation.

Artists’ Books + Zines : Unique editorial objects conceived as artworks in themselves: artists’ books, experimental publications, and Indie editions exploring the boundaries of the book and the image.

DARE-DARE : Books, catalogues, and editions documenting our projects, residencies, and critical reflections on contemporary art, the public realm, and collaborative practices.

Design + Architecture : Publications exploring contemporary design and architecture — where form, function, and aesthetic thought meet social innovation and creative experimentation.

Essays + Artistic Practices : Theoretical and reflective writings on contemporary creation, artistic processes, emerging aesthetics, and critical discourses that accompany today’s art.

Essays + Society : Essays addressing major social, political, and cultural questions, and the ways art intersects with citizenship, memory, identity, and collective transformation.

Performance Art + Live Art : Books devoted to performative practices, art in action, and expressive forms that engage the body, presence, and temporality of creation.

Periodicals + Magazines : Publications that document developments in research and creation, offer critical perspectives, and reflect the ever-evolving dialogue between art, society, and contemporary thought.

Poetry + Literature : Poetry collections, novels, and literary essays that intertwine writing and imagination, revealing the creative power of language and fiction.

Youth : Children’s and young adult books that spark curiosity, nurture imagination, and introduce young readers to artistic sensibility and discovery of the world.
