Alain Bouchard seeks to give a poetic value to both objects and materials. His sculptures explore the notion of transformation, the representation of combustion devices intended to create an energy that attempts to unite the sensory world with the conceptual world.
Born in 1965, Alain Bouchard lives and works in Montreal. He holds a bachelor's degree from Concordia University and is currently completing his master's degree in visual arts at UQAM. He has participated in several group exhibitions, both in Montreal and abroad. In 1992, he won the first prize in the Duchamp-Villon competition organized by the art gallery of Édouard-Montpetit College.
