André Savard

Paintings

DARE-DARE presents the paintings of André Savard.

In front of his paintings, it's the viewer's turn to be confused by memories of his own emotions about his family, his solitude, his illusions. A witness to himself, unashamed and unscrupulous in the face of convention, the painter pokes fun at stereotypes, and the constant in his work is the reflection of his own character, with whom everyone can identify. André Savard reveals himself courageously and unpretentiously in his illustrations of family life, isolation and generational conflict.

André Savard was born in Montreal on April 25, 1960. Self-taught, he imposes his originality, which is more in keeping with the colorist and expressionist traditions. His painting is above all a language painting, a reflection of inner life, illustrated through scenes of daily life.
