Colombian artist María Teresa Hincapié has developed an international artistic trajectory in the field of performance art. Known for her long-lasting and ritualistic actions, Hincapié also develops in situ interventions where the body and objects question their relationship to the advertising and functional space. The artist also works as a teacher, which has allowed her to establish a transmission of art, important for the work of younger generations of performance artists in Colombia.
