With the aim of generating in-depth reflection on its 2024-2025 programming Méthodes et jeux de l'espace: zones d'existences, DARE-DARE invites artists, researchers, authors and curators to submit an application for a research residency. Over the course of a year, the selected candidate will develop a critical and creative reflection inspired by the various events in the program. The residency will culminate in a public presentation and the printing of a booklet or other form of archive, which may take the form of a series of interviews, texts, videos and so on.
DARE-DARE invites those interested in exploring and experimenting with marginal or alternative research methods and intersections, as well as those interested in practices of intervention in public space, performative practices, or any other practice that contests space. We believe that creating unique links between practices will enable us to propose unifying experiences that question our relationship to research, archives and exchange.
The center offers :
- Residency rights of $2,475
- Author's rights: $100
- Reproduction rights: $100
- A production budget Free
- Access to the HALTE* collection of works
- Photographic, audio or video documentation of the residency output
- Support in coordinating research and disseminating public sharing
The researcher undertakes to:
- Attend the various events in the 2024-2025 program to the best of his or her ability
- Offer a residency outing in the form of his/her choice
- Provide an archive of their research at the end of their residency

Here you'll find a selection of publications dealing with art in the public space, art and politics, action art, architecture, design, urbanism, the decolonization of the arts, citizen and participatory approaches, zines, micro-published artists' books...and more!
Your proposal, in a form that suits you, should address the following points:
- Explanation of your artistic and/or research practice (approx. 250 words)
- Explanation of your interest in the themes and artists included in the 2024-2025 programming year (approx. 500 words)
- A document presenting one or more relevant research, curatorial or publication projects you have carried out in the past (finalized or not)
- Your CV or professional background
- A press file (optional)
Only files sent in digital format will be considered.
Proposals will be accepted until June 16, 2024 (23:59) at: prog@dare-dare.org.
