The Danse-Mur Festival project, an innovative urban painting event, the first of its kind in Montreal. Ten days of mural painting on five completely different walls, all located around the corner of Saint-Denis and Mont-Royal. Several in situ interventions are planned around the scaffolding and an outdoor area near the festival venue would be used to host spoken word, a panel on urban art and courses of foulosophy.

The festival will take place from September 17 to 27, 2009, but the majority of the performances will take place during the Les Journées de la culture of September 25-27, when the murals will be more advanced. This ten-day event would aim to create several permanent experimental murals that explore the community context, urban textures, architecture and urban practices of the image. We hope to diversify and democratize painting and urban art, as well as to promote in Quebec a culture that is now global, urban art.

As part of the Journées de la culture 2009, DARE-DARE is collaborating on the first edition of the Danse-Mur Festival.
