Geneviève Rousseau's project is next to the DARE-DARE trailers in the parking lot adjacent to Walter Stewart Park.
A two-part preview is scheduled for Friday, September 17th :
From 5 pm, for the launch at La Chaufferie at 2220 Parthenais Street.
From 8:00 pm, at DARE-DARE, at the corner of Larivière and Dufresne streets.
DARE-DARE is proud to present the project of the artist GENEVIÈVE ROUSSEAU as part of the CUBE event. CUBE is a visual arts event in which fifteen artists offer interventions in mobile storage cubes. Organized by La Chaufferie in collaboration with DARE-DARE, Perte de Signal and Peristyle Nomade in the Faubourgs district.
The storage cubes serve as both places and objects, subverted and diverted from their primary function by ephemeral artistic interventions. The public is invited to stroll through a course spreading on rue Parthenais, rue Larivière and rue Dufresne.
Trained in environmental design, carpentry and joinery, and with a master's degree in architecture, Geneviève Rousseau has been working in the field of architectural design for over 15 years. Parallel to this discipline, she shares her time and know-how in the implementation of artistic installations as a technical consultant, collaborator within collectives and as an individual.
