Come and spend an enjoyable afternoon at the CÉDA where Andy Maple will guide you in learning how to mend. Some basic techniques will be explained and materials will be provided. Just bring your project!

This workshop was initiated by Andy Maple and the DARE-DARE Members' Activities Committee, made up of Katherine-Josée Gervais, Rose-Marie Goulet, Nicole Panneton and Annie-Kim Rainville.
Andy Maple
Andy Maple lives and works in Tiohtià:ke / Mooniyang / Montreal, where she combines the status of visual artist and cultural worker. She holds a BFA (UQAM, 2020) and a certificate in ecology (UQAM, 2022). In her practive, Andy Maple focuses on the relationship between human beings and the living world. She combines a craft and scientific approach in her work with ceramics, textiles and images, but also through gardening, darning and knowledge sharing. With artist Alex Pouliot, she is co-founder of the publishing house Pièce jointe, whose mission is to deploy artistic methodologies outside the academic context, with the aim of making art accessible to a wider public.
