Louiselle Frigon's trees are painted on canvases that are cut into rectangles, then squares and then reassembled. These fragments follow the line of the tree, they grow with it, define its space in the environment, encircling in a way its aura.
Louiselle Frigon holds a bachelor's degree in art education from UQAM. She has exhibited at the Librairie l'Androgyne (solo, 1987), Café l'Herberie (solo, 1984-85), Librairie des Femmes (solo, 1979), Centre culturel de Drummondville (group, 1978), Complexe Desjardins and Bibliothèque nationale (group, 1977), among others.
