The wearing of the body: marks and remarks

Lucie Ouellet proposes a photographic exploration of the different metaphorical meanings that the body can suggest.

Lucie Ouellet proposes an exploration of the different metaphorical meanings that the body can suggest. Photographs were reworked by various materials (wire, metal, leather, wood) and serve as a support for the discourse generated by the photographic imprint of the body envelope, and the phyche of the being that inhabits it.

The wearing of the body, with all its marks and remarks, is what remains visible when the invisible is difficult to access.

Following her studies at Concordia University and UQAM, Lucie Ouellet pursued her work in photography by questioning the female body more specifically.
