OPENSPACE FORUM, Saturday June 12, from 1 to 6:30 p.m.

An event organised by DARE-DARE, facilitated by por Sophie Le-Phat Ho and Anne Goldenberg and directed by the participants.

All people – whether we consider ourselves artists, citizens or activists - help invent, defend and shape the diverse meanings of today’s city. We do so in a multiplicity of ways. Some appropriate platforms. Others instigate new concepts of what space and time can mean. Still others struggle for their rights and the survival of their neighborhoods.

As we struggle, appropriate and instigate, we re-invent the city to better suit our needs. These different ways of being and doing often occur organically and without necessarily crossing paths. We would like for them to meet.

DARE-DARE will be hosting a gathering where you, as a participant interested in the creative development of your city, will be the protagonist. The gathering will take the form of an “openspace” forum (need a link here !) for sharing strategies and fostering collaborations. Openspace is a way of co-constructing knowledge, sharing practices and building concrete initiatives.

The event will take place at DARE-DARE, located at the corner of Dufresne and Larivière streets (Metro Frontenac). If you’re interested in attending, please RSVP. We are also looking for those who can translate and/or need translation so please indicate this in your mail.
