DARE-DARE is proud to participate in the first edition of Montreal's PARK(ing) Day on September 21st, in collaboration with the Conseil régional de l’environnement de Montréal (CRE -Montréal). Park(ing) Day is an annual world event that brings together artists, citizens, elected officials and organizations. It aims to raise awareness of the value of the urban space occupied by the parking spaces.
DARE-DARE participates with the presentation of two emerging artists, Geneviève Massé and Javiera Ovalle Sazie. In addition to recovering a space to present the center, our programming and our recent publications, two additional parking will be invested by these artists who will address the issues of time and contemplation.
Geneviève Massé presents us with a sundial on which you can come to "Grow the hours" and feel the freshness of time. As for Javiera Ovalle Sazie, she offers us "SPALINDROME" which consists of the temporary installation of a spa on these paved slabs transformed for the occasion. Here, breaks of heaven therapy and workshops of anagrams will allow you to perceive the city as a body to be treated.
