✧ THE EVENT ✧
PASSEPORT is an artistic journey through the Little Burgundy and Saint-Henri neighborhoods . Like a treasure hunt, participants are guided by a map indicating the various stops. At each station, a work is created by an artist in the visitor's blank passport, handed out at the start of the tour.
When it came to formulating the contours of this new edition of PASSEPORT, we were torn between the idea of a strike to demonstrate against the recurrent underfunding of culture, and the need to assert our presence while demanding the right to decent working conditions.
This year, to make ends meet and highlight the culture of budget cuts and frugality perpetually imposed on us, the 2024 passport will be made from a reconverted object from the past, and presented on September 28th, during the Journées de la Culture.
