Paintings and photocopies
Petites pièces is an annual event that brings together artists who have already exhibited at the gallery. This year, Nicole Brazeau will be present with her paintings that translate the emotion of the creative gesture. Michèle Gagnon whose paintings are about archaeology. Diane Giguère who questions the links between the subject of the work and the artist, also through painting. Marie-Hélène Robert, "copy-artist", dismantles the system of the original in photocopy. A work insisting on the different possible transformations of a subject treated. Claire-Hélène Tremblay, painter who questions the role of painting in everyday life: aestheticism, decoration, preciousness... Thus, as the title of the event underlines, each of the artists proposes one or more works of small format.
