Shari Neudorf's paintings and painted wood constructions illustrate a strong interest in "eclectic" painting by combining several mediums: collage, stencil technique, spray paint, oil paint.
Shari Neudorf's paintings and painted wood constructions illustrate a strong interest in "eclectic " painting: her works combine several mediums (collage, stencil technique, spray paint, oil paint). The artist's intention is to both explore and exploit the formal possibilities of repetition in the art object. Her imagery is vividly colored with blue, red, yellow... the brushstrokes, flat or textured, are reminiscent of the expressionist art movement.
Shari Neudorf exhibited at Joyce Goldman Gallery in July 1984 and at dare-dare Gallery in October 1985. She is currently completing a Master's degree at Concordia University. Some of her paintings will be shown in a television film directed by Micheline Lanctôt and produced by Roger Frappier, "Onzième Spécial", in early 1989. In January 1989, she exhibited in Quebec City at the L'oeil de poisson gallery.
