DARE-DARE is presenting the latest in a series of duo-based events between 2019 and 2021, this time by the duo created by Montreal curators Amber Berson and Manon Tourigny.

The artists hosted guests for a meal and conversation in DARE-DARE's new environment, the Adult Education Centre (AEC) in Saint-Henri. The meal was concocted by Amber and Manon from a recipe in a collective cookbook of their creation. This booklet is about food, cooking and everyday life in times of pandemic... and in times of duology.

The artists spoke about their collaboration as curators, which remained without a theoretical object of curatorial research, but rather focused on exchange in uncertain times as the only experiential and dialogical object. The exercise brought out a collection of their personal culinary recipes among the most comforting, and others also coming from their families and from some invited artists. And pasta, it is well known, makes people happy.

The musical atmosphere was provided by the audio research of Alfred Muszynski, cultural mediator at DARE-DARE, and dinner participants received a free copy of the recipe zine in paper format.

She is a member of the curatorial collective N. & M., which focuses its research on collaborations, artistic processes and contamination between artists, works and the role of the curator.
