The project consistently begins with the phrase “Il y a...” (There is…) followed by tragicomic triptychs of words that function as a state of affairs, an inventory, a declamation, an irony — a constellation of assonances and resemblances. The project “Il y a...” is a stylistic exercise, a humorous narration that assembles trios of words and rearranges them into a formally informal, aphoristic proposition.
