Claude Périard is a Montreal-based multidisciplinary artist whose work focuses primarily on songwriting, sound art, and poetry. They have released numerous music albums under the pseudonym Claude l’Anthrope, as well as experimental music albums, sound installations, video works, performances, poetry, and short fiction. The recipient of several grants and awards for their diverse artistic practice, they are also a queer figure within Montreal’s underground scene. Their first poetry collection, Les lumières ont tué la nuit, was published by Poètes de brousse in fall 2025.
