Florencia Marchetti is a multimodal researcher, documentarian and ethnographer based in Montréal ~ Tiohtià:ke. With more than twenty years of experience facilitating collaborative projects, she has developed experimental and dialogical approaches that foster collective reflection and playful forms of exchange. Her doctoral research-creation work explores the atmospherics of terror produced by the Argentine military dictatorship (1976–1983), experienced during her early childhood. Combining cultural studies, autoethnography, photography and poetic writing, her dissertation examines the enduring bodily, geopolitical and generational impacts of state violence. Her current practice also reflects an ongoing engagement with neurodivergence, caregiving and alternative temporalities, weaving together personal and collective histories through multimodal narrative forms.
