The Sudbury Alternative Art Fair (FAAS), organized by the Galerie du Nouvel-Ontario, brings together visual and multidisciplinary artists from across the Canadian Francophonie. At each edition, DARE-DARE delegates one of its member artists to participate. For this eighth edition, Guillaume Dufour-Morin presented his performance Processions.

Guillaume Dufour Morin
Guillaume Dufour Morin is a professional visual and literary artist, teacher, and author trained in visual arts, humanities and creative writing, and education, based in Trois-Rivières. His interdisciplinary approach is that of an artist-mediator. As a conveyor of words, stories, and objects, his practice in contemporary art—at the intersection of action art and creative writing—consists primarily of participatory performances, interventions, and exhibitions that engage the public in issues related to the construction of heritage and rural life, and takes shape through a variety of media: installation, video, text, artist’s books, sound, and digital printing. Her works have been presented at festivals, artist residencies, group exhibitions, and group screenings in Quebec, Ontario, and internationally (the United States, Latin America, Europe, Togo, and India, on multiple occasions). Her projects have been covered by local, national, and specialized media and have received financial support from organizations such as CALQ, CAC, LOJIQ, SSHRC, Emploi-Québec, and the Desjardins Foundation. The artist also contributes articles to specialized journals and regularly serves on peer review panels and advisory committees.His work has been exhibited at venues including Voir à l'Est - art contemporain, the Musée du Bas-Saint-Laurent, Caravansérail, L'Atelier Silex, Interzone - art actuel, Culture Trois-Rivières, Casa Viva, the Morni Hills Performance Art Biennale, Farside Collective, Bbeyond, Grace Exhibition Space, the Emome Art Festival, the Trois-Rivières International Poetry Festival, Dare-Dare, and the Sudbury Alternative Art Fair, and include collaborations with the organizations La Fenêtre, COMSEP, Carpe Diem—Alzheimer’s Resource Center, and Voix de Pasaj.
