This book looks at the last three locations where the DARE-DARE mobile shelter was moored, namely Cabot Square, Walter-Stewart Park and the Quartier des spectacles, and offers the reflections of five authors on various realities of artistic practices in public space.

Julie Fournier-Lévesque
Julie Fournier-Lévesque holds a Master of Fine Arts from Concordia University as well as a master’s degree in fine arts from the Valand School of Fine Arts in Gothenburg, Sweden. Active in the cultural sector for nearly fifteen years, she has contributed to the development of artistic and community-based projects aimed at increasing the visibility of art and improving its accessibility, both in Montréal and in Gaspésie, where she is originally from. She worked at Artexte in audience services and coordination, and collaborated with Centre d’artistes Vaste et Vague as coordinator and artistic director of the Biennale Barachois In Situ. More recently, she served as Executive Director of Courant Culturel Rocher-Percé, where she took part in social development and territorial collaboration initiatives. Recognized for her human-centred and collaborative approach, her professional trajectory brings together cultural management, citizen engagement, and partnership building. Since 2025, she has been working as a Social Development Mobilization Officer at the MRC de la Côte-de-Gaspé.
Julie served as Co-Coordinator of Artistic Programming at DARE-DARE from 2014 to 2017.
