Marie Lemieux

After graduating with high distinction from Concordia University with a BFA in Visual Arts, Marie Lemieux completed a Master's degree in Visual and Media Arts at UQAM in 2024. Encouraged by the Omer DeSerres Scholarship in Studio Arts and the Campaign for the New Millennium Scholarship - Faculty of Fine Arts, she developed a meticulous drawing practice intimately linked to the making of colorful costumes and the elaboration of performances. In 2023, she received the Bourse Claude-Courchesne en arts visuels et médiatiques for her research-creation work. Her work has been presented at various venues in Montreal, where she painted two murals in collaboration with Marc Lemieux. As part of her artistic residencies, she has completed projects in Rota (Cadiz, Spain) and Saint-Irénée (Québec, Canada).
