Nelly Desmarais

Nelly Desmarais is a writer and doctoral student in literature at the Université du Québec à Montréal, where she is particularly interested in the links between feminism and urban writing. Her first collection of poems, Marche à voix basse (Le Quartanier, 2022), was awarded the Prix Émile-Nelligan. She lives in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district of Montreal.

  • Le salon de La chambre de Chiron

    Le salon de La chambre de Chiron

    As part of La Chambre de Chiron, the Salon, animated by eunice bélidor, will focus on the themes already proposed by the exhibition. With Vie Charles, Nelly Desmarais and Camille Richard, exchanges will take place, notably on mourning, healing and care, but also on other themes such as friendship, radical hospitality, contemporary art movements and domesticity.
