Sébastien Goyette Cournoyer

Sébastien Goyette Cournoyer (he/they) holds a BFA from Concordia University (2017) and an MFA from UQAM (2023). He has been active for several years in artistic events across Quebec. He has been involved in the organization of projects such as the Festival d'art performatif de Trois-Rivières, which he co-organized. He has been invited to participate in a number of events, including the Rencontre locale d'art performance (RLAP) and the Échange Québec-Xi'an, in China. After living in Trois-Rivières for 10 years, the artist has been an active member of DARE-DARE since his arrival in Montreal in 2023.

Sébastien Goyette Cournoyer is an interdisciplinary artist. His artistic practice revolves around performance, video art, installation and, more recently, citizen participation. In his current creative research, he examines the social construction of individuals and the influence of various hegemonic systems, such as gender binarism and mass media.
