Vincent Lacasse
Vincent Lacasse is a multidisciplinary artist based in Montreal. A dancer and choreographer at the École de Danse Contemporaine de Montréal, Vincent seeks to blur the boundaries between dance, performance, interactive art and poetry, exploring themes close to relational aesthetics and identity. Vincent writes for poetry magazines such as Paupière and contributes to collective collections. He founded Expo Miroir, a series of vernissages and intergenerational performance evenings, with the aim of democratizing art and making it accessible to all social categories and free from institutional criteria. He directed his first film with fifteen dancers, shown at Cinéma Du Parc in 2024.
Vincent has been involved in various committees since 2024, having felt called by Dare-Dare's mission to be close to the public and push the limits of the usual gallery setting.
