Yanick Tanguay

A multidisciplinary artist, Yanick Tanguay concentrates on different variations of expanded drawing. His themes include error, impermanence and serendipity. For him, everything is in constant transformation. So he doesn't see his works as finalities, but rather as parts of an infinite process. Above all, he speaks of adaptability, where constraints serve as starting tools until it becomes necessary to disobey the established order. In a bid to minimize material consumerism, he favors the use of recycled and/or found objects. He opts for an economy of means, an approach that aspires to modesty and a certain humility.

He decided to get involved with DARE-DARE in 2024, almost out of obligation, since his work was often affiliated with that of the center. So there's nothing to lose by waiting.
