Yves Amyot

Yves Amyot co-founded the Turbine center and was its director from 2009 to 2022. He has been conceptualizing and leading educational and participatory arts projects in community and school settings for over 25 years. He has taught plastic, visual, and media arts in elementary and secondary schools, at the college level, and was a professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal specializing in digital arts education. He is recognized for his support and training of artists who wish to open their practices to different communities. In addition, he specializes in the integration of experimental video and sound art in schools and communities. He is the author of the book Le marcheur pédagogue. Amorce d'une pédagogie rhizomatique, published by L'Harmattan.
